Is anyone using a Nikon DSLR as their webcam? If so, have you run into any issues with it running for long periods of time? Mine seems to time out after 30 minutes. I've seen some posts where you can update the firmware to stop the timeout but there was some concern about the focus sensor burning out.

Not a Nikon, but I have my Canon DSLR set up as my webcam. It’s on all the time, haven’t run into issues. I’m using this method to run it: https://imranhsayed.medium.com/using-dslr-camera-for-zoom-calls-camtwist-camlive-4229832d691f

are you running it on a coupler?

You also need a battery that subs as an AC unit, basically, to give continual power.

That article doesn't list it either but it serves the timeout issues ^

Mind the model numbers for your cameras in the description. They make multiple versions.

oh! Another thing I found out last night is that they actually have a WebCam plugin utility, re: Nikon. Have you installed that?

Ah nice, didn't know about the webcam plugin, that's clutch. Thanks @devongabrielpena

The thing I'm running into is a slight delay between my audio and video (my audio is ahead). Maybe that will clean up that issue.
