Anyone ever dealt with finding the source of an autoreply? The enduser does not have vacation response on and seemingly no filters so I’m going slightly insane trying to figure out why an message with x-autoreply is even sent 🤔

What we can assume is the “Trigger email”
Location:Inbox
Labels: None
State: Opened and read, Seen, Marked important

Nothing out of the ordinary

The auto-reply message itself:

Sent from Gmail
Delivered to a google internal server
Received from an SMTP Server with IP Adress <Google Mail server>
Inserted into Gmail delivery pipeline
Delivered to the Gmail mailbox

Hm any apps script running? I would check tokens for the user

No Apps Script - the only thing that might be a cause would be if Out Of Office or similar can be set on Mail.app end and still be considered Sent from Gmail

i would check the token audit log for the user to see if mail.google.com was called

Follow up: The enduser forgot to told us that they turned off the vacation response one day before sending the ticket. However seemingly the problem still exists. I have my doubts, but to be continued

I blame my question query:

I did ask, “Is vacation response off? ” and verified the setting with gam.
I should’ve asked “Was vacation response ever on?”
