Will all these homegrown processors make it easier to procure hardware for your org

Google’s the latest to announce that they’re investing more resources towards developing their own chips. How has the chip shortage impacted your ability to source equipment for your employees? Do you think these homegrown chips from Google, Apple, etc will alleviate the shortage?

Aren't those custom cloud / server chips? They will never end up in an end user / consumer device. And if you don't do very specialised ML in the cloud you probably don't care on what chips they run.

Google already has custom chips on their servers for encryption (see Titan). Don't expect any Google made (ARM) processor to show up on any (legal) marketplace anytime soon - if ever.
