I will put a word of advice here, r/sysadmin is a fun read, but it skews pretty negative, with a lot of posts on burned out people and general ‘complaining about users’ thinking, so, beware that every place is unique and some are worse than others. I hesitate to recommend the subreddit because it can have some toxic pile-ons there.

Just cosigning Joseph’s assessment of r/sysadmin — sometimes it’s a really helpful resource and hub for interesting discussion and other times it’s a bunch of burnouts cursing the Users that are a major reason of their being
